Don’t write for robots

From Copyblogger’s “9 Ways to Lose the Trust of Your Audience”:

#3 You Write for Robots
Consciously or subconsciously, the heavy-handed practice of keyword stuffing is a certain mistrust trigger.

Do not compose copy solely to get attention from search engine robots.

Even if you get the ranking you covet, you need to remember that robots don’t have wallets.

Write for people first, and search engines second.

Being the King of Google is great and all, and lots of people brag about their rank and traffic stats. But, at the end of the day, conversion is what matters. If the copy on a landing page doesn’t inspire action, why even have a site?

The rest of the list is pretty good too.
